It's a really sad day today, we found Tilly dead this morning in her cage. It looked as though she died in her sleep. It appears she died of a heart problem.
We both feel really sad but then again we know that we gave her a few months of love and care. The last few days of her life she got so much attention too. Yesterday I sat in the room with her on my knee for about an hour and she kept closing her eyes, she was so tired.

I am not put off at all with the fact one of our rescues died so soon after being re-homed here, I just feel happy that she knew what it felt like to be loved. So RIP little Tilly, we won't forget you. x.

Well, still we have more than our fair share of rain. The mud is really bad but the ducks don’t seem to care.

We have one of the ex-batts who is feeling a little sick. We were worried that she may have a heart problem as she became listless and has bits of blue on her comb.

At the moment she is living in the spare bedroom in a dog crate. We keep her near the radiator for warmth.

She seems to have improved over the last few days and as the weather is a little milder she is now allowed out with the others for a few hourseach day.

It seems really weird as she is now so tame and is used to being handled. When I clean out her cage she just potters around the hallway pecking around at the rugs!

So she now has a name, she is called Tilly. Our fingers are crossed for a speedy recovery for her.
