We had the farrier out for Moonshine yesterday, her hooves were growing out a bit and she was looking a little uncomfortable, although that could have been all the mud around at the moment!  They really do need a field shelter quickly.  I did think that they would need it for winter, but with the 'non-summer' we've just had they could have used it weeks ago!  Anyway her feet are back to a girly size three and are looking a lot better. (Anyone want some big toenail clippings?)

Bit of a panic on last night too with the both of us up till 3.30am trying to find a cat which had mysteriously disappeared.  Normally a creature of habit, Brian is always around the house or back door at night, but last night was nowhere to be seen.  Cue wandering about with torches and whistling for him.  This morning he was curled up in his bed as though nothing was wrong.  Grrrrrr!
